Lately, more and more of my time is being spent on The Guesthouse Hotel project that I’ve worked on over the past year.
I’ve already shared the hotel branding before and after on the blog.
But the hotel lobby progress has been shared primarily through Instagram.
What started out as an empty lot last summer:
Now has walls!
(Just ignore the giant pile of dirt in the club room.)
Here’s the layout of the space as a whole.
On the lobby side, things are pretty straightforward.
The club room is also pretty simple to envision at this stage.
In the club room and lobby, all walls and trim will be white. And the fireplace walls will be painted black floor to ceiling with a black stone surround.
Meanwhile, the library is going to be completely black, with floor to ceiling bookshelves and a recessed gold tin ceiling(!).
Barn doors will close off the library and club room when needed, a custom 10′ dining/conference table is being built for the library, and the front desk will have a wood clad front.
We are also using a faux marble stone (I don’t know the name of it, though. I think it’s a quartz or manmade surface.) for the surfaces on the front desk, wet bar, and library buffet.
I also have a few other tricks up my sleeve for the space as well… but I’ll save those for now.
Overall, you can expect lots of black, white, brass, and wood.
Now, I better get back to my furniture sourcing. There is still quite a bit of work to do over the next two months!
