priorities and time

Alt Summit was completely amazing. The amount of inspiration and information I gained from the trip is so substantial that it may take me most of this week to process (and share with you, of course).

However, given the fact that I haven’t had a day “off” in several weeks, I’m doing my best to ease back into things.

Though there is so much I’d like to do rightthisminute, Tim Ferriss’ quote is helping me realize that my priority is on myself today and there is nothing wrong with that. Things will get done.

Right now it’s time to be still.

Jess, it was such an honor to meet you! You are energetic and sweet in person, just like I’d imagine you’d be after reading your blog for so long! I’m still thinking about what my one “crazy thing” will be for next month. So excited for what’s ahead!

I have to tell myself this, too, especially right before I go to sleep. “Things will get done,” indeed! I call that outsourcing to my future self :-)

  • Jess Lively

Too funny! I actually do the same thing myself: http://jesslively.com/future-me/

Aw, it was great to meet you too! Please let me know what you will do as your crazy thing so I can share it next month!

Lovely meeting you at ALT, Jess, even though very shortly. I realized that I was so shy of finally meeting you that I forgot to even give you one of my cards. But anyway, you’re such an inspiration, and I love reading you!

I just had a “come to Jesus” with myself this weekend over setting priorities because I was feeling so overwhelmed and accomplishing very little for how stressed out I was. This quote is right on time for me! Thanks for sharing! :)

I seriously needed to see this today in this exact moment. I’ve been feeling rushed all day because I haven’t organized my class exam/hmwk schedules and I feel like I don’t have enough time today to do everything I needed to do.
