At this point, I know I’m a borderline blogger cliche making the infamous hamburger cupcakes for Chiblogo. These little guys are super popular on blogs. I first fell in love with them on Bakerella. I then made them for a Fourth of July barbecue and now for Chiblogo this weekend. The recipe is simple, the photos tell the whole story.
Enjoy!
Adorable! I’ve been wanting to make these. And I like that you used brownies instead of chocolate cupcakes. Looks more realistic!
SO cute! What a great idea!
@ Alejandra: Huh, I’ve never thought to make them with chocolate cupcakes, but that makes a lot of sense. I’m more of a brownie fan than chocolate cake person myself, so I like the mixed texture of the brownie. And I think you’re right, the brownie looks more like a burger.
@ Lauren: Glad you like the idea! So simple. Perfect for kids events, too!
May be I am weird, but I don’t find baked items that look like meat appealing at all… something off putting about the whole concept for me. Cute idea, just not my thing. Happy baking! 🙂
THAT is TOO cute! I love it! Great job! I am super impressed!
I made these too! I brought them into work and found out it was the owner’s birthday… worked out!
What a cute idea! And how perfect that you made them for a 4th of July event.

Adorable!
These cupcakes are amazing…and they sound super-tasty too! Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
Isn’t Bakerella awesome? Yours turned out so cute! And I agree that brownies look more realistic and tasted better IMO. My sisters and I made these after seeing them on her blog and they were a huge hit! You can peek at our pics here: http://fablifeonafarm.blogspot.com/2009/07/184365_03.html
