This morning as I was reading Daring Greatly, I came upon a chapter talking about the importance of feedback when it comes to vulnerability and growth. So today, I’d like to take a moment to learn more about you, what you love about the blog, and one opportunity for growth.

I sincerely appreciate your time and feedback and hope to learn how I can serve you even better in the year to come!

Oooooh! How did you like that book? It’s been one of those titles that keeps popping up in my life and I have been contemplating just putting it at the top of my queue. I’d LOVE to hear your thoughts.

    1. I really like it! I am pretty open about things personally, so a lot of the shame topics centered around hiding shame are not always hitting home for me.

But she nailed my form of shame on the head when she talked about seeking worthiness in what I “do.” It’s a struggle, and one that makes things like asking for feedback (like this survey) scary for me.

But, hey, I’m taking it one step at a time and this survey is in response to learning to lean into the discomfort of vulnerability – which comes straight from the book!

I’m very open, as well. I suppose I am hoping the book will help me since I do feel so vulnerable to negativity; I really let it get to me sometimes. I’m looking to be inspired to accept and maybe even embrace the discomfort and lack of control we all face from time time. I’m a total Scoprio/Type A/First Born trifecta of control freak. Lol.

        Thanks, Jess.

        1. Yeah, I think I have many of those same tendencies myself. The negativity thing is related (at least in part) to that worthiness element I mentioned, so it could definitely be worth reading for that alone!
