how can i serve you and MML?

Today I’d like to level with you. As I mentioned in my update last week, I feel like things have picked up in my life quite considerably. I’m happy to announce that though the first few weeks of the Jess LC re-launch were slower than my crazy-high expectations, I’ve been consistently building my “pilgrim city” brick by brick. And now I feel like I’m now in full construction mode using a crane with a hard hat on. The infrastructure has been laid and I’m raising the beams. I’m hoping to have my fall collection designed, my intention necklace samples ordered, a two-day trunk show complete, and a PR firm chosen by next week.

So with that said, I think this is a perfect time to check in with you all and see what you’d like to get out of MML – though I will continue to provide helpful posts on a whole variety of topics, I think I can do the best job possible by hearing your thoughts and knowing what you’d like to get out of this blog. What do you want to read on MML in May? What themes hit home the most for you? What would you love to read about? Do you like the personal growth style “THINK ABOUT IT” posts? Do you like the business lessons? Do you like to read about exfoliating and getting rid of stuff in your homes? Do you like actually hearing about what’s going on in my life? What gets you excited when you visit MML?

I’d love to hear your thoughts so I can take this busy time in my life to really serve my purpose and Jess LC to the best of my ability. I’d like to be intentional, knowing I’m providing the best content possible.

First off, I think you’re doing a great job with the blog and you should continue all of your different feature posts. I love them! I’m also really happy to hear that JessLC is taking off!

Personally, I would love to see more business lessons, especially how you balance being self-employed with the lifestyles of people who are not.

  2. Melissa

I love reading your blog and think you are doing a great job! I would love to hear more about what’s going on in your life and how you balance being a business owner and your personal life. I love the exfoliations and it motivates me to look around my house each week to get rid of things!

  3. My favorite posts by far are the Design Your Life interviews. I love reading everyone’s intentions for their life/career. Additionally, I like the end of the week exfoliation and updates on how you’ve handled certain situations or difficulties in managing your own business. Most of all, just keep up the great work that inspires those of us who need a little push. You’re doing a great job! And on the Jess LC side, I’d love to see more photos with models wearing the jewelry…just to see what it’s like hanging/laying on the neck, ears, wrist.

I am in the midst of starting a teeny tiny company. Any sharing of lessons learned, experiences, and advice all would be beneficial to me.

In addition, my intention word for 2010 is MOVE…moving forward, moving on and just plain moving (as in relocation!) So posts regarding getting past being stuck, moving forward when resources needed are questionable, etc. would also be helpful!

Best wishes to you as you MOVE on your relaunch! I would like to hear about what is going on in your world as you expand your business!

  5. I think I am more interested in the business end of things. I love reading about others who have inspired you or those who have had failures along the way but learned from that and built success.
I need to have more validation about making the leap and trusting myself and really taking things to the next level. You started when you were oh so young, but me, I am coming into my own at a time of my life when others are settling into their careers, not looking to abandon them. I appreciate all your tips and stories. And thank you for sharing them with us. Enjoy the day! Erin

My favorite posts are 1) where you give behind-the-scenes looks at what’s going on with your business, 2) where you share what has worked for you along the way, and 3) where you give us a peek at how you structure your day/life and get things done.

I would like more insight into your organization – how you determine what needs to be done, then schedule out each step (do you work backward from a deadline, etc.?) into manageable pieces, what tools you use to project manage yourself, and how you decide when you’re done each day to keep from working 24/7.

Thank you! I love this blog.

Congrats on all you have going. I love your new jewelry and can’t wait to see the new intention necklaces. I think your blog has a great mix of posts. The ones that I love the most your authentic discussions about hurdles and roadblocks (ex. the pilgrim post) & ways to check in with yourself and your goals and life intentions (ex. yearly letter to yourself). Whatever direction you go with your blog I will keep on reading because I think it is fantastic! xoxo, Leana

    Hi Jess!

I love reading about ways to declutter our lives. Things like exfoliating and the vision board. I like reading about things that I can apply to my life to make it easier and feel less hectic and stressful.
    You’re doing a great job!

  9. Love the business lessons. Love to see how things are going with your business as well. I’m really enjoying the new reporter thus far as well. I think there’s such a fascination with women and how they get their small businesses up and running. I don’t think I could ever tire of reading this type of thing. Thanks for all you do Jess. I absolutely adore your blog.

  10. Lori

I love the business lessons, seeing what is going on in your personal life and personal growth. But of course I love your blog and will enjoy anything you put out! Thank you so much for everything you do!

  12. Melony

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog! I cannot choose a favorite type of post. They are all fantastic! I am amazed at how well you keep up your blog posts AND grow Jess LC. You ROCK!

  13. Claire

My favorite posts relate to the “make-under” concept…whether ex foliating physical items or the more philosophical side of life. That part of your site really hits home and gives me things to reflect on. (I also love hearing about the progress of your company.)

  14. Anna

Jess, I really love your blog and read it on a daily basis no matter what you write. I especially love the make under concept and the philosophy behind that. I also love reading about your business and what you do behind the scenes, what worked for you and what didn’t.

  15. Robyn

My favorite posts are the ones about exfoliating and getting rid of stuff in the homes AND excess “stuff” in our lives. I’m really trying to declutter my life right now, and it’s why I started reading MML!
