keeping it real: danielle of breakfast at toast

Today I have a new blogger ready to “keep it real.” Danielle Moss is not only a friend, but one of the hardest workers I have ever met. She has managed to grow and run her graphic and blog design business, photography, Breakfast at Toast, and launch The Everygirl all at the same time.

And while it may look like she’s had it rosy and her thankfulness knows no bounds, the girl has worked her tail off to do it all.

Take it away, Danielle!

Launching a website while running my own design studio is the most exciting and challenging thing I have ever done. I’ve spent the last 6.5 months trying to balance designing at least 5 blogs at once, other graphic design work, photography, The Everygirl, errands, my blog, friends, etc. without losing my mind.

My weekends turned in to work days. Friday nights out have been replaced by collapsing on my couch with a movie.

As overwhelming as it can be, I feel fortunate to be in this position. I work from the time I wake up until at least 10:00 PM/Midnight but I love what I do. Finding that balance isn’t easy, but there is nothing like waking up and feeling excited to go to work. Over a half a year and hundreds of hours later, Alaina and I laugh at every single meeting. She has become one of my best friends. And more than anything — we are excited about our features. We are Everygirls. So while this is for all of you, it’s for us, too.

Love Danielle? You can find her over here and here

I’ve been feeling the same way lately. I went freelance last year as a web designer and then 4 months ago started a local wedding resource blog. This past weekend I worked both days. I was beat by this morning but it’s so true I LOVE WHAT I DO and I’m always excited to get back to work. I have two boys so finding that balance for me is important but maybe that’s why I have crazy schedules sometimes. This momma can’t work 8-5! But I will say that I get to pick them up every day from school now and hang out with them on snow days and then I have no problem working again after they go to bed.
