“It’s easy to be a naive idealist. It’s easy to be a cynical realist. It’s quite another thing to have no illusions and still hold the inner flame.”

I love love love the queens code. It was such an eye-opener to me, especially the idea of not seeing men as rivals (I wasn’t even aware that I was doing it before) and that “he must have a reason for that”. And the chapter where she told about men being mistreated (I think it was chapter 3) – I cried so much, finally seeing that pain…
I’m glad you too read this book, Jess. Let’s start a book club 🙂
Actually, seriously. That would be lovely.
Yay! It’s cool to meet someone else into The Queen’s Code. : )
I saw that quote on Un-Fancy, too and totally loved it. And now, I’m falling in love with the domino necklace. So many cool, inspiring things! Thanks for sharing, Jess 🙂

That’s awesome to hear, Marie. : )
David’s tea is not from Chicago it’s Canadian!! 🙂
Totally. The Fizzle team happened to find their store in Chicago. : )
I love David’s Tea! Discovered them a few years ago and I always have their tea in my house. Every winter I pick up the Cold 911 so I have it ready if I get sick.
That’s awesome to hear! I have a small sample of Cold 911 in my sample pack, I look forward to trying that one, too. Does it help your colds?
It does provide relief and comfort. I have bad allergies so sometimes nothing much can help! I add a little bit of honey as well
I loved your podcast on Santosha, and I would love to buy a piece of jewelry with that phrase. Do you anticipate creating any jewelry to accompany your t-shirt line??
That’s a wonderful idea! I don’t have any current plans to do a santosha jewelry item, but I’ll definitely keep it mind now that you shared the suggestion. Thank you!
Love the loose tea steamer you mentioned too, is it the Teavana Perfectea? I was gifted one for the holidays and am obsessed, life changing if you’re a tea drinker! I mentioned it in my “What brings me pleasure” post inspired by Jess Lively (including the Lively show of course!) http://www.skc-marketing.com/blog//2016/02/valentines-pleasures.html
It’s close to that one, but slightly different. : )
Quote is so strong! Add it to my favourites.
: ) It’s wonderful to hear it resonated with you, Julia. : )
I purchased Davids Tea from your recommendation and was highly disappointing. Three of the four teas I purchased had artificial flavorings, there was also soy derivatives. Loved the single ice tea brewer. I will use it with other brands.
I’m sorry to hear the teas weren’t what you were looking for, and it’s wonderful to hear you enjoy the ice tea brewer. : )
