I love de-cluttering my stuff. Only keep what you use, I say. It really weighs heavily on me to have clothes in my closet that I never wear. Just last week, I gave loads of expensive printing supplies to a stranger, because I couldn’t bear the thought of them going another year packed away in storage. To have something fill its purpose gives me a good feeling. I think I might have watched too much Toy Story growing up, but still. Also – more space! Now if I could just get rid of those gold stiletto sandals I bought 5 years ago and wore only once, they’re burning a hole in my closet. What was I thinking, honestly, I can’t walk in high heels! You’re not a size 41 by chance, are you?
Such wise words. I am thankful that I hate clutter, so these are the words I live by! I also love the gold polka dot bowls in your photo. Where did you get them? xo- Ali (a dash of details)
Ali, the bowls are a vintage find from the Chicago Randolph Flea market. But I’ve heard of people searching on Ebay and finding something kind of similar! : )
I love this.. Sometime I find myself being envious of the things others have especially on all the blogs so it’s good to remind yourself that IT’S JUST STUFF..
Hi I always give things to people I know who.need it or just salvation army. But I find myself doing it too often. Waste of money. Things I never wear, I hate clutter
Such smart words indeed! I always say that if you bring in something new, you have to take something out!

Thanks, ladies!
And Naomi, too funny! Your pumps sound great! Not a 41 myself, but maybe you could give them away on your amazing blog?!
I love Joyce Meyer. This simple reminder reminds me that I need to go through my closet.
It brings me a lot of joy knowing others also feel this way about stuff. I’m thankful for clutter free spaces!

Such good advice! I have that same little crystal glass – I love it.

Erica, exactly! I remind myself that too!
Yes! Always a work in progress, I need to be reminded this everyday!

So true! Over time, it is nice to see patterns in what you end up giving a way so you can avoid making unwanted purchases.
