Today on The Lively Show we are speaking with coach and author, Tara Mohr, about the work she does helping women worldwide to “play big” in their lives – based on their own unique Values.
In the show, Tara guides us through a visualization exercise to uncover the wisest course of action for any situations we might be struggling with. And we discuss: the two different types of fear – and how to live more with the “good” fear, unhooking from praise and criticism, and a bit about the findings from my work and worth book research.
This episode is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to get clarity on a situation where they might be staying “small” and find a peaceful way to move past those limiting beliefs or circumstances.

I needed this today! Thank you both for sharing of yourselves!
Thank YOU for taking the time to share your light with us. : )
Love,
Jess!
This is so good. So, so, so good. Thank you so much for sharing! It’s a blessing to have you here Jess! Thank you.
: ) It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the episode, Gina!
Jess, I am really looking forward to your book about value & work. This is something I’ve struggled with ever since I started my career. Your podcast has helped A LOT as now that I know what my values are, when I find myself slipping into old habits of working late to get something “just right” so that I can get that external validation, I can stop and ask myself if its really in line with my values. 99% of the time its no and I can log off, head home and do what really matters. Its still a struggle, especially as a 9 to 5er working in accounting in a city with a bad economy, but its something I now consciously work on daily.
This is wonderful to hear, Carolyn!! I can relate so much to what you shared – it is awesome to know you are so connected to your Values. : )
Hi Jess, I always struggle with hearing my intuition, my ego ALWAYS takes over, so I struggle with the writing exercise you’ve talked about previously. During the portion of this show when you were talking to your mentor self I immediately resisted the idea, but then something amazing happened. I decided to just try, and I’ll admit my heart wasn’t entirely in it. All of a sudden I saw an older version of myself that felt calm and peaceful reach her hand out to me and say “come with me, it’s time”. At that moment I felt calm and ready to stop getting in the way of my goals. I’ve never had that! So thank you!
That’s so wonderful to hear, Lindsay!!! Cheers to you for trying this exercise out, it’s awesome to hear you got such great feedback from your intuition, too. : )
Loved this episode, Jess! I’ve been wanting to read Tara’s book for a while but I was concerned about the title, thinking that playing big only meant doing big things in life. I love her take that playing big simply means fully stepping into who you uniquely are and owning that, whether you want a big life or small, simple one. Your show just keeps getting better and better!
Amen! That is exactly right, Ashley, it’s about living our personal Values in whatever way we can in our current circumstances. : )
Jess – another great episode! I have to admit I’m addicted…I love seeing another fresh episode pop up in the feed 🙂 This was a really inspiring listen for the new year – let us all be more loyal to our dreams than our fears in 2016!
Aw, it is awesome, Rebecca, to know you are getting so much from TLS. : )

LOVE what Tara said about feedback as information about the person giving the feedback, not telling us anything about ourselves. That was a major ah-ha for me, and is super relevant as I’m in the season of my journey that is going to put me in position to receive positive and negative feedback that I was concerned I’d be unable to not take personally. Thank you for that!

This is awesome to hear, Kathleen!!
