wish i knew wednesday: how to use a full-time job to your entrepreneurial advantage

{Quick announcement: Tomorrow is Chicago’s Business in the City. I hope to see you there!}

Guys, I’m really excited about tomorrow’s WIKW.

While at Alt Summit, I had the pleasure of meeting Amber Housely. Though I was familiar with her business before meeting her, my jaw dropped when I found out that she’s been running her incredible business alongside a full-time day job and raising a little boy.

She has forever changed my understanding of midnight hustling and I’ve asked her to share her story and empowering perspective on balancing a day job with a small business.

I promise, it’s gonna be good.

If you’d like to get the email, simply sign up by clicking on the image below. This email list is also where I announce upcoming workshops and other Business With Intention updates.

      I’m excited to share her thoughts myself! : )

    I just love Amber! She spoke at the MTH conference I attended last month and she is such an inspiration!

          Very cool! Thanks for letting me know about it!!

  3. I can’t WAIT to read this WIKW! Since I’ve been trying to do the same thing myself for a long time, it’ll be great to read about how Amber juggles it all. I definitely need a push in the right direction!

  4. I cannot tell you how much reading this has touched me. I am in almost identical shoes as Amber and I was actually starting to doubt that my small business venture was going to go anywhere because lately I have had that “I haven’t made it until I quit my day job” mentality and as I’m going on baby #2 – the day of “independence” seemed further and further away. This post has solidified so many things for me and has made me so much more appreciative of my full-time job. I get to have a career at an amazing company and also get to pursue something that fires me up, I just need to learn to leverage my time better and can’t wait to implement some of these great tips. Thank you so very much for putting this together and for touching on a realistic topic that I think a lot of people ignore. XO!

  5. Jess, you are a miracle worker. Not only was the WIKW content exactly what I was needing as a full-time employee balancing my blog on the side (at a rate that feels full-time as well!), but I am also starting to plan my Nashville wedding for next summer, and I think Amber is just the person I needed to be introduced to!

    Thanks lady for your amazing work!
